I know a lot of you are visually astute, so I am putting this out there for everyone. Could ya look at my book and tell me what you think of the cover? I still have time to change it if I decide I like your input. The link to the book is: http://www.lulu.com/content/6702903 Have fun and THANKS!!! :ugeek:

I like the cover, the heart floating in the center is a nice touch, as well as the rest of it lurking underwater as if it was an iceburg. You know, kinda like you're saying with the cover that with love, there's always more there than you see. i'm not too sure about the font for your name though. i think a font that looks less stiff would sell the book better. A font that looks more elegant would in turn seem more romantic, so a font like Edwardian Script ITC or French Script might give your name and title that extra pop to get someone to buy it.

I like the thickness of the font maybe try something with a serif, fancy way of saying tails at the edges of the text to it. I would be not want to draw to much attention away from the heart. Another Major thing is the type of paper it is going to be printed on is it regular hardback, does it have a gloss, once printed how close to the computer version will it look like. If it is possible make up 2-3 variations of that cover and have them test printed before mass production. Some of this might be the job of someone else. I find it best to try to stay active in all the parts you can. This might be going overboard on thought, but maybe the book could be hardbound and have perforations or a sliding convention in it so the front and back cover turn into 4 legs and the center unfolds to make a perfect table so this could be used on a coffee table. The center would read your favorite poem with a water resistance coating to protect it from water damage. Sorry I tend to shoot off with my ideas. Umm I like it. lol

Thanks for the feedback! The book is a hardbound with a glossy, heavyweight paper dust jacket. I've received one copy of it, waiting on a second after some edits were made. The 'coffee table' idea sounds really awesome, but alas, it's not available with the publisher I am using. Definitely a thought for later, if I sell enough copies. I've fiddled with fonts, and they either look too bold, or are difficult to read with the photoshopping work behind it. It's been hard to balance a delicate font with the background. I'll let you in on a little secret: my background photo was a construction paper heart in the snow this past winter. ;) I'll post a link to the book once I approve the new copy. Until then, you can check out some of my work at http://www.ladyilliana.deviantart.com if you like. Thanks for all the help!
